Abstract
Geographycally the research area lies between 00 43′ 38′′ – 00 40′ 56′′ North Latitude and 1010 29′ 29′′ – 1010 32′ 11′′East Longitude, the location is in Cengar, Kuantan Mudik District,, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province. Diagenesis of limestone aims to determine the lithology, diagenesis process, diagenesis environment, and diagenesis stages of the research area. Diagenesis begins with the preparation stage, study literature, field research, laboratory analysis, and report preparation as the final stage. Based on petrographic analysis, there are 5 processes diagenesis in the research area : microbial microcitation, compaction, cementation, dissolution, and neomorphism. There are 5 diagenesis environtments : marine phreatic, burial, meteoric phreatic, zona mixing, and meteoric vadose. There are 3 stages of diagenesis: eogenetic stage, mesogenetic stage, and telogenetic stage. Burial was occured in the early stages of sediment deposition of Packstone which causes compaction in the marine phreatic environment. The second stage of Packstone are a strong compaction stage accompanied by a burial process in the Early Miocene, causes an increase in the temperature and pressure of the dissolution process in the burial environment. The third stage of Boundstone and Packstone elevation occurs due to tectonic forces, and regional compression forces in the Final Miocene, the processes that occur are cementation, dissolution and neomorphism, found in the meteoric phreatic environment, mixing zones and meteoric vadose.
