Abstract

Public transportastion is one of the transportation media used by the community by the community by paying tarifs the need for public transportation is a major need for humans to make movements.therefore the community’s dependence on public transport services is also relatively high. However the lack of passengers during rush hour results in a lack of income earned by the oplet driver. This happens because the majority of service users during rush hour are students. To reduce over supply which will result in adverse impacts on the operator as well as decreasing the quality of service to the user. Thus it is very important to know how much the optimum fleet needs on the route. Collection of data obtained from the result of surveys conducted to calculate the BOK value amd load factor. Data is obtained during rush hour, in the morning at 06.00-08.00 WIB, in the noon at 12.00-14.00 WIB and the afternoon at 16.00-18.00 WIB. Sample data was taken on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday as a comparison. The result of the survey and analysis show that the value of BOK/year + margin of 10%per year is IDR 71,862,157,71 while the avarage income per year per vahicle is IDR 56,940,000,00 resulting in an imbalace of –Rp.14,922,157,71. This shows that the optimal fleet number is based on the tarif set by the government in the pekanbaru mayor regulation, number 119 in 2014 is 12 fleets. While for the rates used in the field, the optimal number of fleets operating is only 10 fleets. This ineffectiveness is due to the large number of public transport options available in Pekanbaru.
