Abstract

In the process of executing construction, projects of construction often having undesirable problems, one of them was delay ing in the project execution. It can occur because of various factors such as bad weather conditions, design changes and lack of workforce. To avoid these factors, alternative options can be used to support project completion were very necessary. These alternatives can be in the form of adding working hours, using more p roductive tools, increasing number of workers, and choosing a faster construction method. This research analyze d the cost efficiency and project execution time with the crashing method on the construction project of Limau Manis Bridge in Kampar regency on phase 1, using alternative options like additional overtime work for 1 - 3 hours and additiona l workforce with the help of Microsoft Project 2016 application. The purpose of this study was to determine the cost changes and project execution time between the addition of working hours varying 1 - 3 hours with the addition of workforce and tools. The results of analysis show ed that the optimum cost and time as a result of additional 1 hour's working hours was Rp7.717.189.988,38 and for the first additional of workforces and tools was Rp7.693.275.214,50 wit h the duration of both were 206 days. Then, t he optimum cost and time as a result of addition al 2 hour’s working hours was Rp7.645.075.886,47 and for the second addition al of workforces and tools was Rp7.584.559.020,26 wit h the duration of both were 181 days. Furthermore, the optimum cost and time as a result of addition al 3 hour’s working hours was Rp7.611.416.535,41 and for the third addition al of workforces and tool s was Rp7.516.520.710,91 wit h the duration of both were 165 days.
