Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic occurred almost all over the world causing activities involving many people to be avoided, one of which is teaching and learning activities. an outbreak that resulted in changes in the world of Indonesian education that caused all learners to do the learning process at home with distance or online teaching methods. Academic stress is a condition in which individuals experience pressure from the perception and assessment of students to academic stressors (Govaerts & Gregoire, 2004). This study aims to find out the picture of academic stress in students against online learning. The data collection method uses a scale of academic stress that has been adapted by beautiful senses (2018). This study sample amounted to 87 psychology students of Riau Islamic University. The sampling technique used is stratified random sampling. The analysis used is descriptive statistical analysis. The data analysis method used is Alpha cronbach analysis. The results of statistical analysis showed a coefficient of significance of 0.741 (p>0.05). The results showed academic stress in psychology students in the moderate category of 49.4% of 43 people. Based on gender there are differences in academic stress levels that students have. The results of the analysis were seen from the semester based on academic stress levels there was no significant difference and belonged to the moderate category while judging by age there was no significant difference in academic stress levels owned by psychology students of Riau Islamic Universit
