Abstract

Basically a project is a one-time activity, with limited time and resources to achieve the final results that have been determined. The project has three main elements of concern, namely cost, quality, and time. To fulfill this, a company must have a method or method that can be used, so that all the resources they have can be utilized optimally. Many Indonesian companies now use Gant Chart and Curve S as a way to plan a time schedule without using methods or other ways to control the work to be done. Likewise in the implementation of the Sei road improvement project work. Pakning (KM 130) - Teluk masjid - Simpang Pusako, Siak Regency, uses the S curve method as a time for planning work. So in the study carried out an evaluation to examine the problem of project scheduling using the CPM and PDM methods which later can also be described in the form of a network, determine the sequence of work that precedes or precedes the project and critical activities. whichever requires attention to be right at the specified time. The method of research carried out on the road Sei. Pakning (KM 130) is a qualitative one that starts with calculating the duration of work, determining the critical trajectory with the CPM and PDM methods and comparing the two methods. The results of the analysis show that between the two methods have different trajectories and duration. The number of critical trajectory activities on the CPM method is 14 activities with the duration obtained is 186 days while the PDM method has four constraints namely SS, FF, FS and SF. In SS constructions, there are a number of critical trajectory activities, namely 16 activities with a duration of 154 days, FF analysis has a number of critical trajectory activities, namely 15 activities with the duration obtained is 154 days, on FS constraints have a number of critical trajectory activities, 13 the activity with the number of durations obtained was 155 days and in the SF construct had a number of critical activities, namely 14 activities with the total duration obtained was 153 days. A longer CPM duration than PDM occurs because the constraints that work on the CPM are only finish to start constraints (activities begin when the previous activity is completed). To maintain work in accordance with the duration of planning, the contractor must pay attention to activities that are on the critical track.
