Abstract

This research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru for 4 months from June to September 2020. The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction and main effect of POC of Maja fruit snails and organic NPK on bitter melon production. The study used a completely randomized design consisting of two factors, the first POC Keong Mas Buah Maja with 4 levels, namely: 0, 15, 30 and 45 ml/l water, the second Organic NPK with 4 levels, namely: 0, 7,2, 14, 40 and 21.60 g/plant. Parameters observed were flowering age, harvest age, number of fruit per plant, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight per fruit, average fruit length and number of remaining fruits. The data were statistically analyzed and further tested for Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results of the study can be concluded as follows: The interaction of POC treatment of maja fruit snails and organic NPK was significant on fruit weight per plant and average fruit length. The best treatment was the concentration of POC of the golden snail maja fruit 45 ml/l of water and 21.60 g of organic NPK/plant. The main effect of POC treatment of maja golden snail was real on all observed parameters, the best treatment was the concentration of 45 ml/l water. The main effect of treatment with organic NPK dose was significant on all observed parameters, the best treatment was 21.60 g/plant.
