Abstract

Research entitled Testing Several Types and Concentrations of Natural PGR on the Growth of Patchouli Cuttings (Pogostemon cablin Benth). This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution No. 113, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru for 4 months starting from February to May 2021. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of interaction and the main types and concentrations of natural PGR on the growth of patchouli cuttings. The experimental design used was a completely randomized design consisting of 2 factorials. The first factor is the type of natural ZPT which consists of 4 levels, namely young coconut water, onion extract, banana weevil extract and green bean sprout extract. While the second factor is the concentration of natural PGR which consists of 4 levels, namely 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%. Parameters observed were age of budding, percentage of growing cuttings, longest shoot length, number of main branches per plant, number of leaves per plant and root volume. The data were analyzed statistically, if the calculated F is greater than the F table, then a further test of Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) was carried out at the 5% level. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that the type and concentration of natural PGR had an effect on all observation parameters except the percentage of cuttings growing with the best treatment being onion extract with a concentration of 50% (J2K2). The main effect of natural ZPT species affected all observation parameters except the percentage of cuttings growing with the best treatment on onion extract (J2). The main effect of natural PGR concentration was on all observed parameters except the percentage of cuttings growing with the best treatment at a concentration of 50% (K2).
