Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the interaction and main effect of various liquid organic fertilizers (POC) of livestock manure and gibberellins on the growth and production of chickpeas (Phaseolus vulgaris L.). This research has been carried out at the Integrated Agriculture Unit of the Islamic University of Riau, Jl. School, District. Kampar for 4 months starting from April to July 2021. The research design used a two-factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The first factor is the various POCs of livestock manure, consisting of four levels, namely, no POC, cow manure POC, goat manure POC and chicken manure POC. The second factor was gibberellins, consisting of four levels, namely 0, 25, 50 and 75 ppm. Parameters observed were plant length, flowering age, percentage of flowers into pods, age of harvest, number of pods per plant, pod weight per plant, pod length and number of remaining pods. The research data were analyzed statistically and continued with the BNJ test at the 5% level. The results of this study showed that the interaction effect of various POCs of livestock manure and gibberellins was significant on flowering age, percentage of flowers into pods, harvest age, number of pods per plant, pod weight per plant and number of remaining pods with the best combination treatment being POC of chicken manure and gibberellins 50 ppm. The main effect of various POCs of livestock manure has a significant effect on all observation parameters with the best treatment of chicken manure POCs. The main effect of various gibberellins had a significant effect on all observed parameters except pod length parameters with the best treatment of 50 ppm gibberellins.
