Abstract

ABSTRACT Fristian Halomoan S (154110229), research title The Effect of White Rice Washing Water and NPK Phonska Fertilizer on the Growth and Yield of White Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.). The research was conducted in the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University for 4 months from July - October 2019. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the interaction of white rice washing water waste and NPK Phonska fertilizer on the growth and yield of white eggplant plants. This study used a completely randomized factorial design. The first factor was the dosage of NPK Phonska (P) fertilizer consisting of 4 levels, namely 0, 3, 6, and 9 g per plant. The second factor is white rice washing water waste (A) which consists of 4 levels, namely 0, 500, 750, and 1000 ml per plant. So that 16 treatment combinations were obtained with 3 replications and obtained 48 experimental units. Parameters observed were plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), age of flowering (dd), age of harvest (dd), number of fruit planted, longest fruit length (cm), weight of fruit per plant (kg), and number of residual fruits. . Observation data were analyzed statistically and continued with further tests of Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) with a level of 5%. The results showed that the interaction between white rice washing water waste and NPK Phonska fertilizer had a significant effect on all parameters. The best treatment combination is the provision of white rice washing water waste at a dose of 1000 ml per plant and NPK Phonska fertilizer at a dose of 9 g per plant (P3A3). The main effect of the dose of white rice washing water wastewater was significant to all parameters with the best treatment, the dose of white rice washing water waste of 1000 ml per plant (A3). The main effect of NPK Phonska fertilizer dosage was significant on all parameters with the best treatment of NPK Phonska fertilizer dosage of 9 g per plant (P3).
