Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the main interaction and influence of Boiler Ash and Grand-K fertilizer on the growth and yield of red ginger. This research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution KM 11, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This research was conducted for 6 months, namely February - July 2020. The design used in this study was a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors, the first factor was the Boiler Ash dose (B) which consisted of 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 60, 120, 180 g/plot. and the second factor was Grand-K Fertilizer (K) which consisted of 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 5, 10, 15 g/plant in order to obtain 16 treatment combinations, where each treatment was repeated three times, so that there were 48 experimental units (plots). Each plot consisted of 4 plants and 2 plants were sampled so that 192 plants were obtained. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that, the interaction of boiler ash and Grand-K fertilizer had a significant effect on all observation parameters, plant height, number of tillers per clump, weight of wet stover per clump, weight of dry stover per clump, weight of wet rhizome. per clump, and dry rhizome weight per clump. The best treatment was boiler ash at a dose of 180 g/plot (1.8 tons/ha) and Grand-K fertilizer at a dose of 15 g/plant (600 kg/ha). The main effect of real boiler ash on all observation parameters. the best treatment was boiler ash at a dose of 180 g/plot(1.8 tons/ha). The main effect of Grand-K fertilizer was significant on all observation parameters. The best treatment was Grand-K fertilizer at a dose of 15 g/plant (600 kg/ha).
