Abstract

Brakesare one of the components contained in a vehicle that functions as a stop rotation of the shaft, slowing the shaft, and preventing unwanted rotation.And the steering system is a component that is in the vehicle, steeringfunctions as a regulator of the direction of the vehicle wheels.But nowadaysthere are often problems with the brake. Looking at the problem, the authorsconducted a deceleration analysis by varying the speed of 20,30 and40km/hours on braking.Then calculate the braking force, braking torque,hydraulic pressure. And in the steering system an analysis is carried out onthe kart’s turning radius, and the vehicle traction force. The results of thebraking system analysis concluded that the slowdown at the speed of 20km/hwas 6,25 m/s 2 ,at thespeed of 30km/h is 7,93m/s 2 , and at a speed 40km/h is9,23m/s 2 . And braking force of 1474.98N, Braking torque of 288.6 N.m,hydraulic pressure of 37.988kg/cm 2. And kart has a turning radius of 6.48mand traction force of 344.9 N.The brakign system used is a motorcycle. Fromthe result obtained, the analysis of the braking system and steering on the kartcan be declared normal and safe for the driver.
