Abstract

This study aims to determine the interaction test effect of biochar and gibberellin residues on the growth and production of peanuts. The study design used a factorial completely randomized design consisting of 2 factors. The first factor was Biochar Residue (B) which consisted of 4 levels of treatment, namely: 0 kg/plot, 0.7 kg/plot, 1.4 kg/plot and 2.1 kg/plot and the second factor was Gibberellins (G) which consisted of of 4 treatment levels, namely: 0 ppm, 10 ppm, 20 ppm, 30 ppm. Parameters observed were relative growth rate, flowering age, harvest age, number of pods per plant, weight of wet pods per plant, percentage of filled pods per plant, weight of 100 seeds per plot, dry weight per plant, dry weight of seeds per plant. Data were analyzed statistically and continued with the honest significant difference test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction effect of Biochar and Gibberellin residue treatment was significant on the parameters of the relative growth rate of 14-21, 21-28 days, flowering age, harvest age, number of pods per plant, wet pod weight per plant, percentage of pithy pods per plant, weight of 100 seeds, dry weight per plant, dry weight of seeds per plant, with the best combination of treatments, namely biochar residue 2.1 kg/plot/15 tons/ha and 20 ppm gibberellins. The main effect of biochar residue treatment was significant on all observation parameters, with the best treatment being 2.1 kg/plot. The main effect of gibberellin concentration was significant on all observed parameters, with the best treatment being 20 ppm.
