Abstract

Research entitled The Effect of Kascing Fertilizer and Phonska NPK Fertilizer on Growth and Yield of Cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata) aims to determine the interaction and main effect of vermicompost and NPK phonska fertilizer on growth and yield of cabbage. This research has been carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution No. 113, KM 11, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This research was conducted for 5 months starting from August to December 2020. This study used a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors. The first factor is Kascing Fertilizer (K) which consists of 4 treatment levels and the second factor is Phonska NPK Fertilizer (P) which consists of 4 treatment levels, of these two factors there are 16 treatment combinations. Each treatment consisted of 3 replications so that a total of 48 experimental units were obtained. Parameters observed in this study were plant height, age of shoot formation, age of harvest, plant weight, weight per crop, diameter of crop and harvest index. The observational data was then analyzed statistically and continued with the honest real difference test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of vermicompost fertilizer and NPK phonska fertilizer was significant on plant height and harvest index with the best treatment being a combination of K2P2 treatment (vermicompost at a dose of 60 g/plant and NPK phonska at a dose of 9 g/plant). The main effect of real vermicompost on all observation parameters with the best treatment was a dose of 90 g/plant (K3). The main effect of NPK phonska fertilizer was real on all observation parameters with the best treatment at a dose of 13.5 g/plant (P3).
