Abstract

The face or face is the front of the head in humans covering the area from the forehead to the chin. Problems that often occur on the face are skin diseases that make self-confidence decrease, especially for women. Facial skin disease can be very dangerous if something goes wrong in the treatment and handling, hence the presence of a specialist or expert on facial skin disease is needed. The limited number of experts on skin diseases results in the service to patients with skin diseases not being optimal. Therefore a system of expert skin diseases was built with the certainty factor method using the Forward Chaining method as a search technique that starts from known facts to reach the goal. In this study conducted at the clinic Dr. Ratih House Of Beauty Clinic. There are 6 (six) types of facial skin diseases that are used, namely acne, phlegm, milia, rosacea, hypersia, sebaceus, and ringworm with 20 (twenty) symptoms. The final results of this study diagnose facial skin diseases and provide information and solutions to treatment of patients suffering from the disease. System accuracy testing has a good performance with an average questionnaire percentage value of 88%, so the expert system for diagnosing facial skin diseases is feasible to be implemented.
