Abstract
Generally Indonesian people use the sun's heat to dry wet clothes. But when the weather can't be determined, drying clothes becomes a troublesome job. In cases like this, people will spend time and energy just drying and lifting clothes repeatedly. For someone who often travels will add to the worries with the clothesline he left behind. One way to get clothes to be dried in the sun is to make a clothesline that is equipped with an automatic control system. This tool is designed to work automatically removing clothes when the weather is sunny to dry in the sun and pull into clothes where it is safe when it rains. This automatic clothesline uses Arduino Uno as the main controller, which gets input from two rain sensors (Rain Drop) which are used to detect rain, then the LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) sensor which is used to detect sunlight and RTC (Real Time Clock) DS3231 which is used to set the time for the clothesline to come in and enter at the specified time. There are additional components such as LCD (Liquid Criytal Display) that are used to display conditions when the clothesline is out and the clothesline enters, then the dc motor as the output moves the clothesline in and out.
