Abstract

Along with the rapid growth of population and vehicles driven in the city of Pekanbaru will have an impact when using parking facilities at Prima Hospital. The purpose of this study was to study the characteristics of parking visitors, the needs of visitors' parking area and to determine the extensive needs of visitors to park four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles for the next 5 years at the Prima Hospital in Pekanbaru. The research methods used were the guidelines of the Director General of Land Transportation 1996 and 1998 and the calculation of accumulated vehicle characteristics, average duration of parking, parking index, average parking, parking turn over and area of parking needs. The study was conducted on 21 October 2019 to 27 October 2019 starting at 07.00-17.00 WIB From the analysis of visitor parking characteristics obtained for fourwheeled vehicles: the highest parking accumulation of 124 vehicles / hour, the highest average parking duration is 1,063 vehicles / hour, the highest parking index is 0.827%, the highest average parking is 57.9 vehicles / hours, the highest turnover is 0.527 vehicles / hour. For parking characteristics of visitors of twowheeled vehicles: the highest parking accumulation is 126 vehicles / hour, the highest average parking duration is 1,020 vehicles / hour, the highest parking index is 0.529%, the average the highest parking is 59.7 vehicles / hour, the highest parking turnover is 0.403 vehicles / hour. Then for the area of visitor parking space needs needed four-wheeled vehicles of 1395.5625 m2 which is around 124 SRP, while available is 1687.50 m2 of the total 150 SRP and there is still land area of 291.9375 m2 that can be used during peak hours. Next, the area of visitors' parking space needed by two-wheeled vehicles is 188,853 m2, which is around 126 SRP, while there are 357 m2 of 238 SRP available and there are still 168,147 m2 of land that can be used during peak hours. Reviewed based on the results of the analysis of the parking needs of visitors to four-wheeled vehicles and two-wheeled vehicles for the next 5 years that the Prima Hospital can still accommodate vehicles, but to better maintain the parking capacity the hospital has provided a land area of 3400 m2 and this is sufficient to maintain the parking capacity of visitors of the Prima Hospital.
