Abstract
Soil elevation conditions at the SMP Negeri 21 Pekanbaru area are lower than the asphalt surface of the roads and drainage channels in schools. When it rains, the area suffers from flooding so that the inundation cannot flow into the drainage channel. Based on these problems, a new channel system needed is in the form of infiltration wells because it is more effective in dealing with floods. The purpose of this study was to decide the dimensions of infiltration wells and the amount of recharge wells needed in SM P Negeri 21 Pekanbaru. The method in this study uses calculate SNI 03 - 2453 - 2002 about the rules for planning rainwater catchment well techniques for plots and supported by data through field observations. The results obtained in the study based on an area of 17,792 m2 and an entire building area of 2,648 m2 are infiltration wells needed to overcome flooding requiring a dimensional infiltration well with a square with an infiltration well 1 m long and 1 m wide with a height of 2 m which adds 76 wells. in filtration of yield and flood volume is 153.05 m3 and infiltration volume of rainwater is 0.375 m3 with a distance infiltration wells for the entire building from roof runoff is 1.5 m.
