Abstract

Regional Research is in the Pematang Benteng Village Area, Batang Peranap District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, Riau Province. Geographically this area is at coordinates 00 ° 35'00 "LS - 00 ° 37'17" LS and 101 ° 52'30 "BT - 101 ° 55'03" BT. This research is motivated by the geometry of coal seams which is very important in determining the resources, coal reserves and in determining the direction of coal mining. The results of the research that will be used as a reference in this study are Seam B because the average coal thickness is 4.3 meters and is stated to be more economical. Seam B The general direction of this coating is Northwest - Southeast and is thought to be in the West wing of the Lubuk Bakoreh anticline. The mining method used is an open pit mining system with a slope ranging from 5-10 °, and an average thickness of more than 0.50m. Modeling is done by projecting outcrop coal drilling and outcrop data using Minescape and Rockwork software Seam B is divided into three blocks because the drill points do not have a regular distribution direction, namely Seam B north block, east block and south block, Seam B Utara has reserves of 723,757,125 tons, overburden of 5,230,669,625 tons, stripping ratio 7: 1, coal reserves in East B seam block pit of 1,152,937.5 tons, overburden of 1,421,062.5 tons, with stripping ratio of 1: 1 and in South Block seam B pit of coal reserves of 1,282 .207,785 tons of overburden amounting to 9,266,063.4 tons, with a stripping ratio of 7: 1.
