Abstract

This study aims to analyze 1) Characteristics of entrepreneurs and business profiles of Tempe agro-industry, 2) Value Added Management of raw materials, production costs, production prices, income and efficiency of tempe agro-industry business 3) Marketing of tempe agro-industry in Siak Sari Village, Payung Sekaki District. This research was conducted for 6 months starting from February to August 2020. This study used a survey method and respondents were taken by census. The data collected consisted of primary and secondary data. The results showed: 1) The characteristics of the entrepreneur are at the age of 60 years, and the age of the workers is 27.5 years. The length of education for entrepreneurs is 12 years, and the average workforce is 9 years. 11 years of entrepreneurial experience and 1.75 years of workforce. The dependents of the entrepreneur's family are 5 people and the workforce is on average 1 person. Soybean processing agro-industrial business profile was founded in 1988 until now. The scale of the business carried out is a small scale. The number of workers used is 5 people, including entrepreneurs. The business capital used comes from own capital, 2) The use of soybeans in one production process is 131 Kg. The use of supporting materials is firewood ½ pick up, diesel 4 liters, while the technology used is semi-modern. 3) The total production cost is Rp. 1,237,438.00. Products produced are 196.50 kg with a selling price of Rp. 10,000 / kg. The gross income per production process is Rp 1,965,000.00 and the net income is Rp 727,562. Business efficiency (RCR) of 1.60 is feasible to be developed. 4) Added value of Rp. 2,800.00 with a value added ratio of 1.00%, 5) Marketing of tofu with 2 channels, namely I entrepreneurs selling to retailers and retailers selling to consumers. II entrepreneurs sell to consumers. Marketing margin in marketing channel I is Rp. 10,000 / Kg and marketing efficiency is 1.86% and marketing margin in marketing channel II is Rp. 10,000 / kg and marketing efficiency is 2.00%.
