Abstract
Online buying and selling transactions have changed the buying and selling activities that usually use conventional transactions. Buying and selling online makes it easy for buyers in terms of goods and / or services, while sellers find it easy to market their products, even get cost and time savings, in online buying and selling activities, sellers and buyers do not meet face to face, so buyers cannot see even researching the items to be bought. Goods that are traded often do not match the information from the seller and even have hidden defects. Buyers are entitled to information that is true, clear, and honest about the conditions and guarantees of goods being traded, as stated in Article 4 letter C of the Consumer Protection Law. How is the legal protection for Lazada consumers (online buying and selling site) in Pekanbaru. Are there factors and obstacles for Lazada consumers in Pekanbaru. The research that the writer intends to do is a type of observational research, known as survey research. While its nature is descriptive research. The results of this study. The form of legal protection for consumers is consumer dispute resolution, the process of consumer dispute resolution is carried out if in online transactions there is a violation of consumer rights. The process of resolving consumer disputes can be carried out through court channels or outside the court, this provision is regulated in Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection. The legal process is quite long and time-consuming, sometimes being the main obstacle for consumers to sue for the losses they have experienced by shopping on online shopping sites. So that most consumers prefer to ignore these problems without any solution and of course this will ultimately harm the consumers themselves. There is an assumption in the community that in online shopping, consumers must be prepared to bear the consequences if the product is not in accordance with what is offered and expected by consumers, is also one of the obstacles in implementing legal protection for consumers in online buying and selling transactions.
