Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between religiosity and anxiety in facing death on elderly at Social Service Board of Tresna Werdha Khusnul Khotimah Pekanbaru with the population of 76 people and over 60 years old. The sampling technique in this study uses the random sampling method. The data collection techniques use a scale which 29 items for anxiety scale and 26 items for the religiosity scale. The results of this study use product moment correlation techniques. The results of the analysis tests that have been conducted indicates that there is a significant relationship between religiosity and anxiety in facing death on elderly at Social Service Board of Tresna Werdha Khusnul Khotimah Pekanbaru with negative way. The higher the level of religiosity, the lower the level of anxiety. The value of the contribution given is R square of 0.487 or equal to 48.7%. The effective contribution of anxiety variables to religiosity is 48.7% and the remaining 51.3% is influenced by other factors.
