Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of various nutrients of ab mix and growth media on the growth and yield of caisim mustard with the NFT hydroponic cultivation system. This experiment used a Divided Plot Design in a Completely Randomized Design consisting of two factors. The first factor is the various nutrients of AB MIX (A) as the main plot consisting of 4 levels, namely Goodplant nutrition (A1), Ijo Hydro (A2) Uira (A3) and Compost (A4). The second factor is the various growth media (M) as subplots consisting of 4 levels, namely Rockwool (M1), Hydroton (M2), Husk Charcoal (M3) and Biochar (M4) media. The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves per plant, total leaf area, economic wet weight of the plant, root volume, plant dry weight and root crown ratio. Observation data were analyzed statistically and the BNJ continued test at the 5% level. The results of this study indicated that the interaction of various AB MIX nutrients and the growth medium had a significant effect on plant height, economic wet weight and root volume. The best treatments were Goodplant nutrition and Biochar (A1M4) growing media. The main effects of various AB MIX nutrients were significant on the number of leaves per plant, total leaf area, plant dry weight and canopy ratio. The best treatment is Goodplant nutrition (A1). The main effects of various growth media were significant on the number of leaves per plant, total leaf area, dry weight of plants and the ratio of the root canopy. The best treatment was Biochar (M4) growing media.
