Abstract

Eggshell waste is a waste that is usually used to improve the soil or for other handicrafts. In this study, eggshell waste from pounding into powder was used for soil stabilization mixture in order to determine the effect of adding eggshell waste as a mixture of soft soil to the CBR value. The use of eggshell waste as a mixed material in soil stabilization with 5% cement with varying levels of mixture 0%, 3%, 6%, and 9% of the dry weight of the original soil with 1, 4 and 7 days of curing and 7 days of immersion. The test is carried out with the CBR test based on SNI 1738: 2011 regarding CBR testing. Based on the results of research that has been carried out on mixed soil with 0% curing for 1 day, the value is 1.51%, 4 days is 4.72%, and 7 days is 1.95%, and at 7 days immersion is 3.88%. In a mixture of soil and cement 5%, 1 day of curing was obtained a value of (14.89%), 4 days of curing was 16.62%), and for 7 days of curing the value was (19.74%), and immersion 7 days (5.67%). In the variation of egg shell waste 3%, the curing value of 1 day was 19.77%, 4 days was 30.89%, and 7 days was 17.66%. In the variation of egg shell waste 6% 1 day the value is 25.33%, 4 days is 28.44%, 7 days is 35.55%. In the variation of egg shell waste 9% 1 day the value is 15.33%, 4 days is 17.44%, 7 days is 19.44%. 7 days of soaking 3% eggshell waste is 17.67%, 6% eggshell waste is 22.33%, 9% eggshell waste is 17.89%.
