Abstract

Soil investigation is needed for building foundation design data or construction of buildings. Soil investigations are in the field (CPT and DCP) and there are laboratories (CBR laboratories). The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between CBR in the laboratory and field CBR of DCP test equipment and the correlation between qc values with laboratory CBR and field CBR based on several typ es of soil compared to previous researchers Rahardjo (1995) obtained a correlation between CBR and qc of compacted clay soil CBR = ½ q c and Schmertmann sand soil for CBR = ⅓ q c CBR (In - situ). Data analysis of research objects at the PT. Inecda (ST.03, ST.04 and ST.05 ) in Indragiri Hulu and the construction of the Riau Province Na tional Road (STA 0 + 600, STA 6+ 000, and STA 17+ 000) in Pekanbaru which has conducted field testing with CPT and DCP dynamic test and soil sampling for laboratory CBR. Implementa tion of field CBR for DCP test equipment according to the Ministry of Public Works in 2008 and CBR laboratory according to SNI - 03 - 1744 - 1989. Soil classification on CPT based on cone resistance (q c ) and friction ratio (fr) is plotted in the Robertson and Ca mpanella (1986) figure. The results showed that the correlation between laboratory CBR and field CBR for DCP test equipment, CBR value for test equipment obtained is always the DCP value is smaller than laboratory CBR, the ratio of the CBR value of DCP to laboratory CBR ranges from 72% - 90%, where clay has a higher value. height (clay soil ratio close to laboratory CBR) and the correlation value of conus resistance with laboratory CBR in the study, the value is closer to the Schmentmaan theory of sand CBR = ⅓ qc and CBR for clay Raharjo (1995) CBR = ½ qc, in sand research 0.26 q c and clay is 0.48 q c while CBR is a DCP test tool for sand 0.21 qc and clay 0.42 q c . The results of the research were various types of soil (good soil types to bad soil types), silt y sand soil approaching CBR sand, DCP test tool 0.18 qc and laboratory CBR 0.24 q c . The sandy soil is silty close to the sandy silt of 0.28 q c and laboratory CBR of 0.32 q c . The silt clay soil approaches silt on the CBR of the DCP test apparatus 0.42 q c an d the laboratory CBR with 0.49 qc. Clay soil is close to organic CBR, DCP test tool is 0.425 q c and laboratory CBR is 0.475 q c. The CBR/ q c comparison value the smaller the good soil type is obtained and the worse the soil type obtained, the higher the CBR/ q c value.
