Abstract

Effect of vermicompost fertilizer and TSP fertilizer on the growth and production of peanuts (Arachis hypogeae L.) under the guidance of Mr. Ir. Zulkifli, MS as supervisor I and Mrs. Selvia Sutriana, SP., MP as mentor II. This research has been conducted at the Experimental Field at the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution No. 113, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The research was conducted for four months starting from August to November 2018. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the main and interaction of vermicompost and TSP fertilizers on the growth and production of peanut plants. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial which consisted of 2 factors. The first factor was vermicompost fertilizer (A) which consisted of 4 levels, namely 0, 1.44, 2.88, and 4.32 kg / plot. The second factor is TSP (P) fertilizer which consists of 4 levels, namely 0, 10.8, 21.6, 32.4 g / plot. The parameters observed were plant height (cm), age of harvest (days), percentage of well-defunct pods (%), number of pods per plant (fruit), and weight of 100 seeds (g). Data were analyzed statistically and continued with the Honest Significant Difference Test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of vermicompost fertilizer and TSP fertilizer affected plant height, harvest age, number of pods per plant, and weight of 100 seeds. The best treatment was found in vermicompost fertilizer at a dose of 4.32 kg / plot and TSP 32.4 g / plot (A3P3). Mainly vermicompost fertilizer also affects all parameters with the best treatment at a dose of 4.32 kg / plot (A3). Likewise, the main effect of TSP was also on all parameters with the best treatment at a dose of 32.4 g / plot (P3).
