Abstract

This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau Jl. Kharuddin Nasution KM 113, Air Dingin Village, Bukit Raya City, Pekanbaru City. This study was conducted for 5 months, from March to July 2018. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer on the growth and production of three varieties of eggplant plants (Solanum melogena L.). The design used in this study was a Factorial Completely Randomized Design consisting of two factors. The first factor is N (NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer) which consists of 4 levels namely N0 (without N1 fertilizer (10 g / plant), N2 (20 g / plant), and N3 (30 g / plant). the second is V (eggplant variety) which consists of three levels, namely V1 (Mustang F1 variety), V2 (Kania F1 variety), and V3 (F1 Turangga variety) .The results showed that NPK 16:16:16 and three eggplant varieties had a significant effect on the age of harvest. The main effect of NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer had a significant effect on fruit weight per plant and the amount of leftover eggplant fruit on the highest parameters of fruiting crop treatment with NPK fertilizer 16:16:16 20 g / plants while the parameters of the highest number of leftover fruits were NPK 16:16:16 30 g / plant. The main effect of the three varieties of eggplant plants was significantly on fruit weight per plant, the highest treatment was found in the treatment of Kania F1 varieties.
