Abstract

Online food ordering application service is a food delivery service in which an agreement occurs between the service provider and the customer. This online food ordering application allows food ordering consumers to send food ordering service requests to drivers. The number of phenomena that require aspects of consumer protection in this online food and beverage delivery service, which of course has social and economic impacts, leaves legal issues that must be our common concern. Based on the above background, the problems that will be answered are Consumer Protection Against Food and Beverage Ordering Services Online as well as obstacles in legal protection for Consumers in the use of Online Food and Beverage Ordering Services This type of research is observational research by means of a survey, namely research that takes data directly from the population/respondents by conducting interviews as a data collection tool, then processing the data collected so that conclusions are obtained using the inductive method. Meanwhile, if viewed from its nature, this research is descriptive, namely research that explains in the form of clear and detailed sentences. Consumer protection for online food and beverage delivery services is protection against the condition of food or drinks ordered by consumers, legal protection against price differences listed in the application, legal protection for the quality of food and drinks ordered online and legal protection against events. the occurrence of food and beverage cancellations made by consumers suddenly or suddenly (cancelled). Obstacles in legal protection for consumers in the use of online food and beverage delivery services include the responsibility of the driver only as a partner (transporter), the responsibility of PT Gojek only as a partner (liaison between drivers and consumers) and all actions taken by consumers are considered to have complied with the provisions made by PT Gojek Indonesia (free consumer action).
