Abstract
Investigation is a series of investigators in matters and according to ways regulated by this law to seek and collect evidence which with this evidence sheds light on a criminal act and in order to find the suspect. This study focuses on the process of investigating corruption in the land sector at the District Prosecutor's Office in Kuantan Singingi Regency. The purpose of this research is to find out how the implementation and obstacles in the investigation of corruption in the land sector at the Kuantan Singingi District Prosecutor's Office. The main problem in this research is how is the investigation process of corruption in the land sector at the Kuantan Singingi District Prosecutor's Office and the obstacles in the investigation of corruption in the land sector at the Kuantan Singi State Prosecutor's Office. The research method used is juridical sociology with primary data collection directly in the field. The method used is descriptive research method conducted by interviewing the respondents who have been determined. From the results of the research it can be concluded that, the investigation process begins with summoning witnesses then summoning the suspects. The disclosure of the criminal case of corruption by the Kuantan Singi District Attorney at the stage of investigation, namely by using the interrogation technique of whistle blower reporting witnesses and extracting information from the perpetrator himself as well as information from the media and NGOs. In this case, in conducting witness interrogations, the prosecutor used investigative audit techniques using both the BPK and the public accountant's own services brought in by the prosecutor's office. Obstacles in the investigation process are due to limited facilities and infrastructure or human resources and suspects or witnesses who have changed workplaces or domiciles or suspects who are fugitives, making this case tough to resolve.
