Abstract
This research was conducted at Jl. Pahlawan kerja, gang Utama Angkasa no 12, Maharatu Village, Marpoyan damai District, Pekanbaru City. This research has been carried out for 3 months from September to November 2018. The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction of cow urine and some growing media on oil palm germination (Elaeis guineensis Jacq). The research design used was Factorial Completely Randomized Design consisting of two factors, the first factor of cow urine consisting of 4 levels, namely 0, 25, 45, 65 ml / l water. And the second factor is the planting medium which consists of 4 levels, namely soil, fuel husk, cocopeat, fern root. The parameters observed were plant height, leaf number, leaf area, root volume, primary root length. From the results of the study conducted interactions of cow urine administration and real growing media on leaf area, primary root length and root volume but did not have a significant effect on plant height and number of leaves. The main effect of various urine urine concentrations is real on all parameters where the best treatment is giving 65 ml / l water of cow urine. The main influence of various real planting media on all parameters where the planting media that produces the best parameters is the root of the fern.
