Abstract

Research entitled The Effect of Biochar and NPK Phonska 15:15:15 on the growth and yield of sweet potato plants, under the guidance of mother ir. Ernita, MP as supervisor I and Mr. M.nur, SP, MP as mentor II. This research has been carried out in the garden Experiment at the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution Km 11 No. 113, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The research was conducted from December 2018 to March 2019. The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction effect and the main effect of biochar and NPK Phonska 15:15:15 on the growth and yield of sweet potato plants. This study used a completely randomized factorial design consists of 2 factors. The first factor is the dosage of biochar which consists of 4 levels namely 0, 100, 200 and 300 g / guludan. The second factor is the NPK Phonska dosage consists of 4 levels, namely 0, 7.5, 15 and 22.5 g / mounds. Observed parameters is the age of harvest (days), number of tubers per plant (fruit), weight of tubers per Plant (g), tuber weight per tuber (g) and weight of stems (g). Data analyzed statistically and continued with Honest Real Difference Test (BN J) at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of biochar and NPK Phonska 15:15:15 has a significant effect on the number of tubers. tuber weight and tuber weight per tuber. The best treatment is a combined dosage of biochar 300 g / mounds and NPK Phonska 15: 15: i5 fertilizer is 22.5 g / mounds. Influence The main effect of biochar on harvest age, tuber number and weight stunt. The best treatment is B3 with a dose of 300 g / guludan. Main influence NPK Phonska 15:15:15 has a significant effect on harvesting age and weight stunt. The best treatment for N3 with NPK Phonska 15.15: 15 is 22.5 g / mounds.
