Abstract

This research was carried out in the garden Experiment of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, Jl. Kaharudin Nasution Km 11, Air Dingin Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. Aim this study was to determine the effect of various types of vegetable pesticides and time interval for administration of cayenne pepper pests. The design used in this study is Randomized Design Factorial complete consisting of two factors. The first factor is the factor P (Pesticides) with 4 treatment levels including: control, papaya leaves, leaves soursop, chili fruit. The second factor is W (time interval) with 4 levels treatments include: once every 2 days, 4 days, once every 6 days, 8 days, so that 16 combinations of treatments were obtained with 3x replications so that they were obtained 48 experimental units, each experimental unit consists of 4 plants, 2 in including the sample. The parameters observed in this study were between others: plant height (cm), age of flower appearance (hst), percentage of pest attacks (%), types of pests that attack, number of fruits per plant (fruit), weight of fruit planting (g), and the amount of leftover fruit per plant (fruit). Average results of each parameter that significant next with test BNJ level 5%. The results of the study showed the interaction of the time interval given with various types of vegetable pesticides affect all parameters observed. The best treatment is the spraying time interval 4 days by giving pesticides vegetable papaya leaves. Effect of time intervals administration of vegetable pesticides affects all observed parameters. The best treatment is the administration of vegetable pesticides, papaya leaves.
