Abstract
Land has a very important position in the context of organizing human life and life. Land is one of the natural resources that are important for the survival of mankind, human relations with land are not just a place to live, but more than that land provides resources for survival. mankind. The main problem of this research is that regarding land acquisition for the construction of trenches for the public interest on Jalan Yos Sudarso, there is an imbalance in its implementation. loss. The width of the land for widening the trench is 3.5 meters. So giving compensation to land rights owners affected by the construction site of public interest for trenching must be in accordance with Law No.2 of 2012. The type of research used is research that belongs to observational research or observational research, the author goes directly to the field to find and collect data that will be used as thesis writing material, the data is obtained through distributing questionnaires and interviews. This research is descriptive analytical, which provides an overview of the object under study based on the data and samples obtained. From the results of research conducted by researchers, it can be said that the implementation of land compensation for the sake of widening the Yos Sudarso road, Rumbai District has not been going well. It can be proven that there are a small proportion or 5% of the community who do not agree to the procurement of road widening for the public interest and there are 2 people who have not received compensation for land losses. The obstacles that occur in the government, namely regarding the application for permits to related institutions, the determination of the UGR Value, and the socialization provided by the Government to the community whose land will be used as a road widening the Yos Sudarso road, Rumbai District.
