Abstract
This study aims to describe the public perceptions of Putri Kaca Mayang Pekanbaru's Green Open Space (RTH). Perception is a personal assessment or assumption of an individual about what is seen, thought, and felt that affects changes in the nature or actions of the individual. Based on the problem formulation and research objectives, this type of research is a descriptive study using a qualitative approach. After going through the process of analyzing the results of the discussion, the results of the study stated that there are 3 important factors that are the main perception of visitors (community) towards RTH Putri Kaca Mayang, namely, a) The self-factor of the person concerned, the Perseptor is influenced by themselves (individually) and assessment of stimulus. Someone will have a different perception of each stimulation he receives, therefore each perceptor has a different assessment of stimuli even though the objects perceived are the same., B) Target factors, Perceptual goals that writers encounter lead to each element of the object of research that makes the perception of visitors lead to negative judgment. Therefore, there is hope that the president will express a criticism that can build the development of Putri Kaca Mayang Green Space., C) Situation factors, there is a lack of facilities such as the absence of toilets around Putri Kaca Mayang Green Space. Then the lack of lighting at night so that visitors find it difficult to supervise their children who play in RTH Putri Kaca Mayang. The social environment situation can affect the perception of visitors of the Putri Kaca Mayang green space.
