Abstract

Self-control is the ability of individuals to resist desires that conflict with behavior that is not in accordance with social norms that can be identified as an individual's ability to behave in accordance with applicable social norms. Self control can arise if spiritual intelligence is high. This study aims to determine the relationship of spiritual intelligence with self control in MTS Kumbara Utama. The subjects of this study were 80 students from Kumbara Utama MTS. The subject taking technique used is saturated sample technique. The measuring instrument used is the scale of spiritual intelligence and self-control. The analysis used in this study is Pearson product moment correlation. Statistical analysis showed that the value of r = 0.337 with Sig = 0.002 (p <0.05), meaning that there is a significant relationship between spiritual intelligence and self-control. Spiritual intelligence contributes 11.4% to self-control The rest of 88.6% is influenced by other factors, the higher the spiritual intelligence, the higher the self-control in students, and vice versa.
