Abstract

EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF POPULATION AND CIVIL REGISTRATION OF MERANTI ISLANDS ABSTRACT By MHD. FURQON ALPULDRI The Department of Population and Civil Registration is a government agency that currently provides services to the community. Many people today are aware of the importance of civil registration for Indonesian citizens. Because the government through the Ministry of Home Affairs is promoting the civil registration program. Many people make e-ID cards, birth certificates, family cards, marriage certificates, etc. at the Population and Civil Registration Service of the Meranti Islands Regency. But now many people who deal with the Population and Civil Registration Office of the Meranti Islands Regency feel uncomfortable with the services provided by employees. This is due to the problematic performance of employees so that the quality of service has decreased. Researchers chose the Department of Population and Civil Registration of the Meranti Islands Regency as the object, because many people complained about the services provided by employees at the Population and Civil Registration Office of the Meranti Islands Regency. The main purpose of this research is to know and analyze employee performance at the Department of Population and Civil Registration of Kepulauan Meranti based on indicators of productivity, service quality, responsiveness, responsibility and accountability. The type of research used in this research is qualitative using descriptive surveys and triangulation techniques. There were 10 informants in this study with the sub-district head as the key informant. Data collection techniques by interview and descriptive data analysis through a qualitative approach. This study concludes that the Employee Performance at the Population and Civil Registration Service of Kepulauan Meranti Regency is not good and really needs to be improved, especially in the indicators of Responsiveness and Responsiblity.
