Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of arm muscle power to the ability to clear badminton in PB athletes. Angkasa Kota Pekanbaru. This type of research is correlation, a statistical method used to calculate the level of relations between two different variables. The population in this study were athletes PB. Angkasa Kota Pekanbaru, amounting to 11 people. The sampling technique used was total sampling so that the number of samples in this study were 11 students. The test instruments used were arm muscle power tests and clear punch tests. The data analysis technique used is calculating the correlation value with the r test formula. Based on the results of the research that has been done, a conclusion can be drawn as follows: There is a contribution of arm muscle power to the PB's badminton athletes' clear punch ability Angkasa Kota Pekanbaru with a value of rcount = 0.630 > rtable = 0.602 with a contribution value of 39.69%
