Abstract

In writing the thesis entitled "The Influence of Work Discipline and Competence of Employees on Organizational Performance of the Food Security Service of Riau Province", which is the object of research for the author includes Work Discipline (X1), Employee Competence (X2), and Organizational Performance (Y) Service Food Security of Riau Province. This research was conducted with the objectives of 1. to analyze employee work discipline, employee work competencies and organizational performance of the Riau Province Food Security Service, 2. to analyze the influence of employee work discipline on the performance of the Food Security Agency in Riau Province, 3. to analyze the influence of organizational performance competencies Food Security Service of Riau Province 4. to analyze the influence of work discipline and employee competency on the organizational performance of the Riau Province Food Security Service either partially or simultaneously 5. to analyze the most dominant variables affecting the performance of the Pagan Plant Service Office in Riau Province. To prove the hypothesis, multiple linear analysis is used with significant tests of F and t. The number of samples in this study were 69 people which is the total number of population. This was chosen because the subjects were less than 100, so it was better to take all of them so that the research was population / census research. Data collection techniques by observation, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. While for testing instruments using validity, reliability, and classic assumption tests. Based on the results of statistical calculations it is known that, Work Discipline, Employee Competence and Organizational Performance of the Food Security Service of Riau Province are in the Fairly Good category. The work discipline of Riau Province Food Security Service staff has a positive and significant influence on the performance of the Riau Province Food Security Service organization. Competency of Food Security Personnel in Riau Province has a positive and significant effect on the performance of the Food Security Agency of Riau Province. Influential Work Discipline and Employee Competence together have a positive and significant effect on the Organizational Performance of the Riau Province Food Security Service and the Competence of employees of the Food Security Department of Riau Province is the most influential variable on the Organizational Performance of the Food Security Service of Riau Province. In order to improve the performance of the Food Crop Service Office of Riau Province, it is expected that all relevant parties will always be in the form of improving their work discipline and competency so that the organizational performance of the Riau Province Food Security Service increases.
