Abstract
Development of Mathematics Based Learning Devices Problem Based Learning (PBL) on Statistics Materials of Class VIII of SMP Babussalam Pekanbaru JUSTIA JUSAR NPM. 136411820 Thesis Mathematics Education Study Program. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. Riau Islamic University. Supervisor: Dr. Hj. Sri Rezeki, S.Pd., M.Sc. Counselor: Sindi Amelia, S.Pd., M.Sc ABSTRACT This study aims to produce mathematical learning tools based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) on Statistics material in class VIII Babussalam SMP Pekanbaru. The quality of the product being developed is evaluated from its validity and practicality. This research was conducted from November 7, 2017 to November 20, 2017 for the eighth grade students of SMP Babussalam Pekanbaru in the academic year of 2017/2018 with 23 students. This learning tool was designed using a 4-D development model, namely defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The instruments used were validation sheets, teacher response sheets, student response sheets. This research produces learning tools with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on valid and practical statistical material with the results of RPP validation of 83.92% and LAS 78.05% with the category quite valid. The practicality results of the RPP of 94.04% with the category very practical obtained from the teacher's questionnaire response. While the LAS practicality results of 94.58% with a very practical category obtained from the student response questionnaire. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that this study produced a mathematics learning tool by using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on statistical material in class VIIIA SMP Babussalam Pekanbaru worthy of being declared valid and practical.
