Abstract

Sand is a material used in the concrete mix. today many types of sand that had been used one of silica sand. In the process of development in Rupat increased need for construction materials. At this time the removal of sand from quarry Dumai boat crossing with huge additional costs. he use of silica sand as an alternative material aggregate concrete mix will be effective and efficient in the execution of construction works in Rupat Island. This study was conducted to determine the ratio of silica sand as concrete mixtures of compressive strength of concrete. In this study using SK SNI T-15-1990-03. With a cylindrical test specimen size (150mm x 300mm). Tests carried out inspection and planning concrete material (mix design). Quality concrete fc '25 MPa with a mixture of silica sand composition of 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% of the original weight of sand Teratak buluh. Curring specimen at the age of 7, 14, 21, and 28 days, respectively 3 sample specimen. The results showed that the highest compressive strength of concrete at 100% silica sand composition of 27.00 Mpa. The compressive strength of the composition of the 100% silica sand qualified plan compressive strength fc '25 Mpa. This shows that the composition of the 100% silica sand can be used in the concrete mix being.
