Abstract

The child's livelihood is something that must be fulfilled by his parents, because without providing a living for the child, it will certainly result in the child being neglected and his life wasted. With this background in mind, in law a child (even before he is born) has been given certain rights and obligations. The main problem is how the implementation of the Rengat Religious Court's Decision on Child Support (Hadhanah) after Divorce in Case Number 0454/Pdt.G/2017/PA.Rgt, and what are the legal consequences for ex-husbands who do not carry out their obligations in child care after divorce. This study uses Sociological Law Research Methods (empirical) or observational (observation research) which is descriptive analytical, while the data collection tool in this study is through interviews. This research was conducted in the Legal area of the Rengat Religious Court. The respondents in this study were the Plaintiffs and Defendants, the Panel of Judges, the Registrar and also the Chairperson of the Court. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the decision in the case Number 0454/Pdt,g/2017/PA.Rgt was not properly implemented due to the husband's lack of responsibility in fulfilling his obligations to provide for his children, the factors causing the non-implementation of the Rengat Religious Court's decision, the husband considered By providing a living for their children, the wife also enjoys it, as well as the stingy husband.
