Abstract

Legal protection for workers is aimed at abolishing slavery and making workers more humane. In order to make the workers live more prosperously and worthy as workers. An integrated, planned implementation is needed so that workers receive proper protection according to applicable law. There should be no discrimination or any form of discrimination against workers, as explained by the explanation that workers must get equal actions with others without any different actions from the entrepreneur or employer as stated in Article 6 of Law Number 13 of 2003. Based on the meaning of employment, the meaning of labor is defined as everything that has to do with workers both before, during, and after working hours. The meaning is that it can be interpreted that the benefits of the regulation include before, during, and after work as well as protecting all workers so that their lives are more prosperous. Occupational Health and Safety is all forms of activity that aims to guarantee protection for the safety and health of workers, both from accidents and diseases related to work activities. In this study, the researcher has a main problem that wants to be discussed, namely how is the implementation of work accident insurance according to Law Number 13 Of 2003 concerning Employment at PT. Transportasi Gas Indonesia RO II Belilas and another main problem, namely what are the inhibiting factors in the implementation of work accident insurance according to Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning Employment at PT. Transportasi Gas Indonesia RO II Belilas. This study uses the Sociological Legal Research Method (empirical) or observational (observation research) which is descriptive, while the data collection tools in this study are through interviews and questionnaires and data analysis using qualitative data. And the purpose of this research is to find out how the implementation and inhibiting factors of labor insurance regarding work accidents at PT. Transportasi Gas Indonesia RO II Belilas. Implementation of Occupational Health and Safety Protection for Workers at PT. Transportasi Gas Indonesia has not been implemented properly, this is evidenced by the absence of maximum supervision provided by the company. The inhibiting factors in the Implementation of Occupational Health and Safety Protection for Workers at PT. Transportasi Gas Indonesia is due to the lack of awareness of workers to use personal protective equipment, lack of supervision carried out by labor inspectors and the absence of strict sanctions given by the company so that it does not provide a deterrent effect for workers.
