Abstract

To optimize oil production in the field X, so that the lifespan of the pump (running life) is longer used the Rod Pump Optimization Controller method is a method of controlling and monitoring sucker rod pump with the use of sensors under the well aims to monitor the pressure and temperature of the well bottom continuously with the presence of this control optimization of the performance of the sucker rod pump can be done. The research method used is a literature study related to performance optimization of the sucker rod pump with the rod pump optimization controller (RPOC) system to maximize oil production in well X on the installed sucker rod pump and conduct field observations so that primary data and secondary data are obtained . Then an analysis of the monitoring data (dynamo card) is carried out to obtain information about the behavior of the sucker rod pump in the form of fluid pressure and temperature. From these results it can be determined what steps need to be taken to optimize the performance of the sucker rod pump. Then an evaluation of the installed pump is carried out and production optimization is carried out resulting in a volumetric efficiency of more than 70%. Optimization of the performance of the sucker rod pump in the ADS well was successfully carried out by an increase in fluid production from 73.95 bfpd on 27 May 2019 to 87.05 bfpd on 25 October 2019 and 153.48 bfpd on 18 February 2020
