Abstract

Indonesia is actively carrying out development in various fields because this is a very important effort in accelerating the country's growth. Development and development growth affects human needs. Labor is the backbone of a company because the workforce has an important role for it, there is a need for protection that must be accepted by workers. Work accidents are a very important problem that must be considered and given solutions in solving work accident problems. One thing that employers need to pay attention to in the use of labor is that the provision of wages alone is not sufficient to guarantee the perpetuation of labor utilization, this is because the needs of workers are not sufficient to meet their material needs, but also the need for providing occupational safety and health guarantees that demand serious attention from company managers, because work safety protection is a form of labor protection and a basic right of workers or laborers. The main problem in this research is the implementation of work safety protection provided by PT Arindo Trisejahtera to palm oil mill workers as well as the obstacles in the implementation of work safety protection at PT Arindo Trisejahtera. The method in this research is the type of field research (survey) and the nature of descriptive research. The population in this study consisted of 1 head of personnel at PT Arindo Trisejahtera, 1 head of the DISNAKER supervision section, and 15 employees of PT Arindo Trisejahtera. The implementation of work safety protection provided by PT Arindo Trisejahtera, such as providing health checks for new workers, providing work safety equipment, maintaining workplace conditions and providing warnings at places that allow work accidents to occur have been carried out in accordance with applicable regulations, even though in practice This has not been running optimally due to both the employees and the company. In the implementation of work safety protection carried out at PT Arindo Trisejahtera, there are many obstacles such as a lack of awareness of workers, the absence of strict sanctions by employers for workers who violate regulations which are then more caused by the negligence of each party to carry out good work procedures .
