Abstract

Efforts to increase the quality of education of mathematics in Indonesia conducted by various ways, among others through the development of tools of learning. The research is aimed to carry out the development tools of learning in the classroom SMPN 2 Chart Sinembah valid and practical. The method of research is using research development of the reference model of the development of the 4-D, with the stages of definition ( define ), design ( design ), development ( develop ), and the spread ( disseminate ). The results of the research it is a device of learning in the form of Plan Implementation Learning (RPP) and Sheet Event Participants Didik (LKPD) with a model Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) on the material functions for students junior class VIII valid and practical. (1) Based on the results of the RPP validation sheet, the average obtained from the three validators is 82.28% with the criteria " Good Enough ", (2) Based on the results of the LKPD validation sheet , the average score of 85.02% with the criteria " Very Good", (3) Based on the results of the teacher practicality response sheet obtained an average score of 96.43% with the category " Very Good ", and (4) Based on the results of the student practicality response sheet an average score of 88.15% was obtained. So it can be concluded tools of learning that is developed is valid and practical.
