Abstract
Based on observations at the Pekanbaru YLPI High School on economics it was seen that the teacher in carrying out learning activities using variations in motion, variations in media and variations in interacting. This resulted in the activities of students in participating in learning to be less than optimal and can affect student learning outcomes in Economics subjects. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in teacher stimulus skills on student learning activities in the field of Economics in YLPI Pekanbaru. This research uses a quantitative approach and the type of research is experimental. In this study two observations were made. Namely before treatment (y1) and after being given treatment (y2). The difference between Y1 and Y2 ie Y2-Y1 is assumed to be a treatment or experimental effect Based on the results of the study and discussion, it can be concluded that there are differences in the learning activities of the control class students who applied the variations of teacher stimulus skills with the experimental class students who applied the variations in the stimulus skills of class XI teachers at YLPI Pekanbaru Pekanbaru. This is known from the analysis of tcount> ttable which is 4.676> 2.045.
