Abstract

ABSTRACT Meri Handayani. 2019. The Influence of Learning Style and Learning Motivation toward Learning Outcomes in Economics Subjects Class X and XI IPS in YLPI High School Pekanbaru Learning outcomes are the results obtained from following the lessons in school, so in obtaining a lot of factors that influence. Student learning styles that are not good will cause low learning outcomes. So is the case with learning motivation. Motivation is not only important because it is a factor that causes learning, but also facilitates learning and learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of learning styles and learning motivation on student learning outcomes in economic subjects class X and XI IPS YLPI High School Pekanbaru. This research was descriptive quantitative. The population of this research are students of class X and XI High School Pekanbaru totaling 3 with a sample size of 96 students. So the technique of determining the sample of this study is called the total sample or census sample. Data were collected through questionnaires. The analysis technique used is multiple regression. The results of the study prove that the learning style has a positive and significant influence on student learning outcomes with a value of t count 3,467> t table 1,998 with sig smaller than probability 0.05 (0.001 <0.05). Learning motivation also has a positive and significant effect on learning outcomes with a value of t count 2.553> t table 1.998 with sig. smaller than probability 0.05 (0.013 <0.05). Simultaneously way of learning and motivation to learn together have a positive and significant impact on learning outcomes with the value of F 30.924> F table 3,14 to 0,000 Sign value <0.05 with a percentage of 49.5% influence. This condition shows that if the way of learning and motivation to learn are improved it will encourage an increase in learning outcomes that are more optimal which is certainly beneficial to the smooth learning process in High School Pekanbaru.
