Abstract

This study aimed to find out the factors of students' difficulties in asking questions in Biology learning process of the eighth grade students of SMPN throughout Bunut District, Pelalawan Regency. This research was a descriptive research. The method used in this study was a survey. The sample of this study involved 64 students. Data collection techniques used were observation, questionnaire and interview. The results obtained in this study: the students' difficulties in asking questions for internal factors could be categorized as mediocre difficulty with a percentage of 54,87%. Meanwhile, the students' difficulties in asking questions for external factors could be categorized as high difficulty with a percentage of 55.38
