Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of leg muscle explosive power to the soccer shooting ability of SSB UIR Soccer School (USS) Under 17 players. This type of research is a correlational study. The population in this study were SSB UIR Soccer School (USS) Under 17 players, totaling 15 people. The sampling technique was total sampling and the number of samples was 15 people. The instrument used is a standing broad jump test and a soccer game shooting test. The results of the calculations carried out obtained a correlation index of 0.523. This value is in the range between 0.4 - 0.70 with a Medium correlation category. The rtable value in the sample of 15 or DF = 13 people is 0.514. thus the value of r count > r table or 0.523 > 0.514. The coefficient of determination obtained a value of 27.4%. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant contribution of leg muscle explosive power to the soccer shooting ability of SSB UIR Soccer School (USS) Under 17 players by 27.4%.
