Abstract

This study examines teachers 'perceptions of teachers' ability to teach PPL students. The problem in this research is how the teacher's perception of the PPL students' teaching ability in opening and closing lessons, skills in giving reinforcement, skills in asking questions, and skills in explaining material. Researchers a n aims to obtain information on the perceptions of teachers tutor to the ability to teach students PPL Psweatshop Biologi FKIP UIR in SMP sedistricts SIAK Hulu Kabupaten K ampar 2018/2019 school year. The acquisition data obtained will be described, analyzed, interpreted, so that conclusions can be obtained about the teacher's perception of PPL students' teaching abilities. Research held on bullae n April 2019. This research is a survey and survey method using data collection, observation, documentation and interviews. The population in this study were taken from all 4 public junior high schools in Siak Hulu subdistrict, namely SMPN 1, SMPN 2, SMPN 4, and Siak Hulu SMPN 6 and researchers took a sample of 25 natural science teachers in Siak Hulu subdistrict of Kampar Regency. The results of the study concluded that the highest percentage of teacher tutor's perception of the teaching ability of PPL students in closing the lesson was in the good category with a percentage of grades 82.93%, while the lowest percentage of teacher tutor's perception of the teaching ability of PPL students in explaining the material was in the good category with the percentage value of 76.53%.
