Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the result of students biology learning outcomes after the application of the PBL learning model with the SETS Approach which was conducted on July 30 to September 09 2019 in class X MIPAB SMAN 1 Seberida Academic Year 2019/2020 totaling 36 people students with 12 male students and 24 female students. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The parameters measured are student learning outcomes which consist of individual and classical completeness. Data analysis was carried out descriptively to determine the absorption and completeness of student learning for KDP (Cognitive) and KI (Psychomotor) and inferential values. The results of this study indicate that there was an increase in the absorption of KDP learning outcomes before PTK, which was 60,56%, increasing to 77,36% in cycle 1 and increasing to 77,58% in cycle 2. Classical completeness of students' cognitive values from 58,33% before PTK increased to 100% in cycle 1 and cycle 2. The absorption of KI learning outcomes before PTK was 61,63% and increased to 78,84% in cycle 1 and increased again to 81,11 in cycle 2. Classical psychomotor completeness increased from 61,11% before PTK to 100% in cycle 1 and cycle 2. From this study it can be concluded that the application of PBL learning model with SETS approach can improve biology learning outcomes of students in class X MIPAb SMAN 1 Seberida Academic Year 2019/2020.
